very basic homework done--would like to download and view dem data and
play with a program that will alow me to manipulate the data ( view
shown)
trying evaluation program from safe.com calle fem--very complicated
i need some one to walk me thru this--i will do the homework needed
any help is appreciated--using windows xp--some knowledge of unix

For something free, try DLVG32 Pro...

As for DEM data, depends on what you want. I've downloaded tons
of data of the years and free stuff can be found. But it takes
work to find and time to download.
Sadly, much of what I spent years collecting can now be viewed
on Google Maps.
