6 and 28 are perfect numbers. This means that the sum of all numbers
that will divide into them evenly gives you that number.
6 is divisable by 1, 2,and 3. So 1 + 2 + 3 = 6.
28 is divisable by 1, 2, 4, 7, and 14. So ! + 2 + 4 + 7 + 14 = 28.
Descartes said that perfect numbers are few, just like perfect
people. Except of course amongst alt.astronomy Earth Science
Officers!

I don't believe so, but some pretty stringent conditions have been
established. For one, IIANM it's been shown that there are no odd
perfect numbers with fewer than three hundred (decimal) digits.
