That the hammer, one of mans most primitive inventions is still useful in
today's technological world.

That the universe on our doorstep can still confound mans best efforts to
understand it.

Anyhow, regarding the Sarj, I don't know if its physically possible for a
piece of space debris or meteorite to actually impact the ring without
actually hitting anything else on the way, but if it is, then one maybe
needs to conclude that this indeed is what happened and the smoking gun may
never be found as the grinding of the crater edges and subsequent grinding
of the ring by the loose metal bits has all but erased the evidence.

Obviously from comments recently about certain structures seeming to have
been hit a lot of times, this scenario is looking more obvious.
