I'm studying the proprieties of EDFA, but i have some questions about:
1)Is it possible to obtain guidance only with the erbium ions or the
presence of codopants (GeO2 for example) is necessary?
2)For the output signal, what are the differencies between foward and
backward pumping?
3)Why the stark effect is present for the erbium ions?
I have another question....I'm studying applications of SiGe in nir
spectrum (for telecomunication), and i found only application of MQW
type without any theoretical analysis...where can i find informations
(and parameters design)?Do you know any link?
