Hallo!

I am using Maxwell 3D in an electromagnetic simulation. I wish to use
dummy objects to improve the analysis process. The question is:
Should dummy objects be model or non-model objects?
Should they be of the same material as that of the object in which it
is placed?
In case they are to be model objects, the error message says, that the
two bodies intersect. Then if I use Boolean Funtions to intersect
them, will it still function as a dummy object? I mean, Maxwell 3D
does not assign an object as a dummy object on its own.

Also I am using stranded conductors around an iron core. Is it then
better to use a laminated core in the simulation, so as to reduce eddy
current effects?

If anyone can help me on these issues, I will be very grateful.

Regards
Suvrajit
