Lebanese Politician Calls Wolfowitz a 'Virus'

The day following a rocket attack on a Baghdad hotel where Deputy
Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz was staying, a top Lebanese
politician stated he hoped the next attack on Wolfowitz was fatal.
Druze leader Walid Jumblatt (pictured) described Wolfowitz as a
"virus" (also translated in some papers as "bacillus" or "microbe")
who needed to be destroyed, and criticized him as an architect of
the US-led war on Iraq and a friend of Ariel Sharon.
The U.S. Embassy issued a statement condemning the remarks as
"outrageous and completely unacceptable."
According to Middle East Online:
"In Beirut, Walid Jumblatt, an influential Lebanese politician and
leader of its Druze community, triggered US outrage Monday when he
expressed regret Wolfowitz was unhurt in the rocket attack.
"'We hope the firing will be more precise and efficient next time,
so we get rid of this microbe and people like him in Washington who
are spreading disorder in Arab lands, Iraq and Palestine,' Jumblatt
said in a statement.
"Jumblatt called Wolfowitz a 'friend of Ariel Sharon,' the hardline
Israeli prime minister, 'and one of the main architects of ... the
destruction of Iraq' even before the war to topple Saddam."
Around the world, the U.S./Zionist cabal, of which Wolfowitz is a
leading member, are widely regarded as war criminals deserving of
trial and punishment as such.
