I know this is somewhat OT, but it may help some to understand the math
challenged.
I found this link at sci.math.

It's a long audio file. Get some coffee. Have your calculator nearby.

In some strange way listening to this reminded me of a couple of people

I've come to know at sci.stat.math. OMU
Wow. First a supervisor, then the manager of the whole facility. A
lot of ignorant people often claim that the best always end up most
successful in life, best jobs, most money, etc. And that the people
who are not successful (don't get promotions, etc.) are so because they
lack talent. This type of crap usually comes from the ignorant or
people who have been successful but don't want to give any credit to
luck, timing, ass-kissing, backstabbing, etc. They claim society is
a meritocracy.
Yet time and time again, I see good, smart, hard working people having
less success in society/careers than lazier, dumber, more cruel people.
These 2 individuals at Verizon are an example. How can that lady be
the manager of ths facility when she can't do grade 3 math? I mean,
the job requires basic math! I bet there are people working in factors
around USA, or homeless, who deserve that job more than she does...... |
