About once a week when removing my RGP contacts, one flies away and
lands in the sink. Is hitting the sink going to scratch or damage the
lens, or are they pretty durable as far as this goes?

Just hitting the sink isn't a big deal. It's light and aerodynamic like a
frisbee.

It would be pretty easy to scuff it by dragging it across the surface trying
to pick it up.
