I see some old friends' posts here and just wanted to wish you all a
Happy New Year.
Each of you remind me of certain places, ideas and things. I wish we
could find a way to make the newsgroup more "inclusive" of times gone
by, today and tomorrow.
Best to you all in 2007,

Hi Sabra--
Yogi Berra once said something like "If they don't want to go to the
ballgame, there's no way you can keep them out of the ballpark".
Happy New Year!

Best wishes for the New Year!
It has certainly been cold in California the last week and a half, but
with a little luck, perhaps next week will be back to normal.

A belated happy new year.
6" of snow this morning...last weekend was ice and sleet. The
snow is much better.

I'm no longer a Californian... kind of hard to say it aloud in the
company of Californians ... or so I discovered while in San Francisco
recently. They say I will always be "Californian" but I kind of
laughed because those "northerners" have a thing about those
"southerners" ... and now!?? I'm neither??? Well.... it's a bit of
silly California political humor.
Some people may not know of a simple way to distinguish a northern from
a southern Californian. (Don't tell I told...) If you ask directions
of a northerner, he'll say, "take 5 to 580 to 80 to 101" .... however,
the southerners will more than likely say, "take the 5 to the 580 to the
80 to the 101" .... So if you want to fit in in one region or the other
and you're a tourist ... now you know how to sound like a "local"! ;-)
Anyway, I'm now in southern Nevada where the majority of people living
here are from someplace else. So nobody carries on about how to give
directions.
So, what does all this have to do with dentistry? ... nothing really
except that dentists live here too. ;-)

Hello Vaughn,
Yes, we made the retirement move! We are very happy with the home we
found and life should be good for both of us. There is no shortage of
"something to do" and no excuse for having "nothing to do" either!!!
And it is a very beautiful place... it never looks the same twice.
I bet your trip to California was a delight with little Master A.
Be well and stay in touch, please.

Happy New Year Webby and all.
Others can have no influence over meaningful friendships. If they do,
then the friendships were not that meaningful to begin with. Nobody
here can drive a wedge between true friends.
Wishing for this or that and blaming others for your lack of commitment
toward one another is bogus. Friendships change only if people allow
themselves to drift apart.
I hope you find renewed friendship, but that is entirely up to you.
Sorry if I am offending anyone. I know you are all good people, but I
get a little frustrated with the victim attitude.

Or maybe the friendships were meaningful at one time, but are not as
important now. In any case, it is noone else's repsonsiblity or fault
if your friendships drift apart.
Best wishes,

I don't understand your point. I don't think you understood mine either.
