We have no time for vegetarians - I mean a potato is just as much a life
form as cow.

We had a vegetarian round to dinner recently and we told him the saddest
story about a little potato we once met.

God knows what he is going to eat now.

Your assuming that is the only valid reason to be a vegetarian... In any
case, would you kill and eat your brother? ... your parents? ...another
human? ...a chimp? ...how unlike you must their DNA be before you are
willing to eat them? You see, different people draw that line in a
different place.

You have no time for people unlike you, sad for you.

I'm not a vegetarian because I love animals,
I'm a vegetarian because I hate vegetables.

It is entirely possible that one day in the future people will look back and
see our eating animal meat as offensive as we see cannibalism. Who knows?

There is a sliding scale of culinary acceptibility.

It is not about life per se. Vegetarians are responsible for more
deathe than meat eaters. It costs the lives of millions of insects to
produce a cabbage but the life of only one caow to feed a hundred meat
eaters.
Some veggies eat eggs = afterall an egg is nothing more than a chicken
abortion (only a potential life). some eat fish (well they don't scream
do they?)

And even longer will be when potatoes start walking and talking and go to
little potato schools and there will stories about a species call man who
used to eat them! Sad And there used to be fried potatoes and baked
potatoes and horror of horrors - "they even sliced us up and called us
chips".
