Arun.
which website !?!?!?
reed-solomon coding is another part of information theory about storing
as much redundancy as possible in as less space as possible, so that on
can recover the information if part of the message is lost without
making the message too big, i think. |

Reed Solomon codes are forward error correcting codes (for instance,
you must have heard of Hamming codes or CRC codes.) They are based on
Galois Fields. They have good burst error correcting capabilities.
They are used in ADSL modems, Audio CD's, etc. There may be some
implementations available on the web.
Patni Computer Systems Ltd. has also developed a library of RS codes
based on Galois Field (256). Our website is www.patni.com and you can
download our free RS codec demo from
http://www.patni.com/innovate/innovate_prods_rscodecs.htm

Thanks a lot John Smith. Your explanation was very good. I wanted to
know if you any website where I can get the download for the reed
solomon encoder/decoder. I am also not sure if its a free download or
not. Please let me know. Thanks once again in advance.

I think the phrase "a decoder" would be more appropriate than
"the decoder". Searched for "Reed-Solomon download" at google.com
and found a number of them.

and think their idea is wrong whereas its the saying that is wrong :)
But it's not always so obvious |
