Any predictions on whether we'll get both rovers down there?

I'll go out on a limb and say that tomorrow's rover will work, while
the one later this month will not. Also, we will finally know the
fate of Beagle2 in a couple of months.

Phoenix <saddam@spiderhole.NOT>, let's talk. I've been concerned about you
ever since you flung yourself headfirst into alt.usenet.kooks sometime
around Sat, 03 Jan 2004 04:09:04 GMT and groaned:

Oh, they'll get there. I'm not betting enough balloons survive the
bouncing to say they'll stop rolling in one piece.

The first part I got right so far. But then, there was a 50/50
chance.

Nice job, Spirit.

I got the first prediction right.

It was really cool watching the broadcast from JPL until the
thing was on the ground and transmitting, then hearing from a
CNN airhead that it was going to enter Mars's atmosphere in a
few hours.

The first picture looks like Kansas. The nuts should be out of
the woodwork any minute now.

At Mars? They say the chances are more like 30/100 with stuff we send
there.

If any of the rovers function successfully and completes Nasa's intended
goals, Min will cry.

Don't worry. Once the rover opens a certain door everything outside will be in color.

Give me just a few more weeks. I know the answer, but I'm not quite
ready to reveal it to mankind.

What a fraud.

I predicted the Cowboys will lose to Carolina in the 2003 NFL playoffs.

HIT!

Just because you didn't ask me isn't my fault.

My prediction was a 50/50 shot. You've been hanging around kooks so
much a little bit rubbed off. That's the kind of claim that Pollog or
Turdi would make.
