"It was 87 years ago today when British archaeologist Howard Carter
discovered the entrance to King Tut’s tomb in the Valley of the Kings
near Luxor, Egypt. Several years of subsequent excavation revealed
thousands of relics and objects related to the revered king, most of
which make their permanent home today in the Egyptian Museum in the
capital city of Cairo."
