Fucking unbelievable... after removing Scythe Zipang cpu cooler the
motherboard is now unusuable ?!
Because of stupid mounting weak plastic bullshit !
1 millimeter of black plastic was probably already missing when I
received the motherboard from a webshop called iComputers which went
bankrupt... this was probably an RMA motherboard but still... I can
vaguely remember noticing this plastic was slightly missing.
Apperently a miracle I managed to be able to use it the first time...
but now a little bit of black plastic probably came off... and now the
cpu cooler clips will not attach and hold on ?!
This fucking sux ! I was in a slight hurry but I didn't see anything
breaking off what so ever... I used two screwdrivers to slightly wedge
the clips from under the black plastic...
This mounting system totally sucks and is truely totally fucking
retarded. Can't remember what it was called A1 or something... and the
pushpin things seem to suck as well..
What' wrong with just a bunch of screws ?!?!
Well enough said... I need to go do other things unfortunately this is

Fortunately the stock AMD cooler (which I ofcourse kept and stored!)
will still attach and hold just fine ?!
This means it's not entirely AMD to blame but Scythe as well !
There fucking clips are just placed badly... have to go diagonal... it
just won't hold those stupid motherfuckers ?!
My god what a mother fuckers !.
Well I am glad that at least the light AMD cooler will hold... maybe
with a bit of luck the better airflow in the better new case will be
enough to keep it spinning slowly... otherwise I might have to enable
cool & quiet again ?!
And this also solves the "heat pipe" issue... I was planning to place
the heatpipes of the scythe cooler near the top to see how that would
work it... but then little pipes would be at the center of the
motherboard... which could still be bad...
So I guess all in all Scyhe Zipang after market cooler might be bad
after all ?! Bunch of scamming pissshits !
FUCKING PIECES OF SHIT NOWADAYS !  LOL.
Well enough for today must get a haircut ! FUCK IT.
But fortunately my Dream PC not totally dead yet...
I will also try to get a spare part to try and get the scythe pang
cooler working again... or maybe I am just gonna say fuck it and screw
that piece of shit and stay with the stock amd cooler... depends on
how much noise it makes... even if it does make lots of noise I might
decide to keep it and be done with it ! ;)

If you paid by credit card, mail a letter to the card issuer at the

I try to use 3-hole heatsink clips (3 holes on each side, total of 6
holes) to spread out the force and prevent the heatsink from coming
loose if just one plastic prong breaks. From your photos, it seems
that you may be able to fix that middle prong on the left by cutting a
notch into it with a triangular file, but because it's right next to a
screw, how about making a metal substitute prong from a rectangular
piece of steel that's held by that screw?
To prevent the plastic from being cut by sharp edges of the square
holes in the metal heatsink clip, I grind off those edges with a
Dremel and a stone cutter (metal is too hard for a file).
3. If you can't fix the plastic or make a substitute metal prong for
the broken one, see if you can get another heatsink frame from a place
like MCM Electronics, Geeks.com, SVcompucycle.com, or a junked mobo. |

You got one shot..
Use 2 thermal epoxy and glue the cpu and sink together permanently.
Ex: Arctic Silver makes an epoxy.

Well I am glad that at least the light AMD cooler will hold... maybe
with a bit of luck the better airflow in the better new case will be
enough to keep it spinning slowly... otherwise I might have to enable
cool & quiet again ?!
And this also solves the "heat pipe" issue... I was planning to place
the heatpipes of the scythe cooler near the top to see how that would
work it... but then little pipes would be at the center of the
motherboard... which could still be bad...
So I guess all in all Scyhe Zipang after market cooler might be bad
after all ?! Bunch of scamming pissshits !

But fortunately my Dream PC not totally dead yet...
I will also try to get a spare part to try and get the scythe pang
cooler working again... or maybe I am just gonna say fuck it and screw
that piece of shit and stay with the stock amd cooler... depends on
how much noise it makes... even if it does make lots of noise I might
decide to keep it and be done with it ! ;)

I've installed nothing but Zalman fans and probably have 3 or 4 of
those black plastic things someplace. You have to remove them to put
on the Zalmans. |
