It's hard to Killfile because they use various addresses and it's
esepcially hard on people like me using Google. (There are ways to
killfile Google).
Since they are using Paypal for payment I suggest everyone complain to
Paypal. Paypal are big enough jerks to be able to deal with this if
they want to. Only the spammers always pick little used groups so that
there are few people to generate complaints. They aren't totally dumb. |

Hi
I would suggest transforming the group in a moderated one.
That would solve the problem .

Hi John,
Still kickin' I see. I thought you were going to sign up on
news.individual.net ? They filter most all the spam out. I don't see
any spam on this group at all. It is well worth the 10 euros per year.
Of course everyone is also welcome to post electromagnetic questions or
comments on sci.physics.foundations which is moderated (we manually
filter out the spam that our spam killer misses).
Best,
Fred Diether

Difficult but not impossible. You will need about 25-30 people to
support creation of a moderated electromag group for the Big-8 board to
approve it and probably 3-4 moderators scattered around the world. Plus
it will cost $300 per year for an easy setup to run the moderation
software or nothing if you can get someone to donate a server, iNet
connection and expertise to setup the moderation software and maintain
it (has to be very secure) on a Linux box. The actual moderation
software is free. I would suggest very light moderation only to catch
spam, flames, abuse, impolite behavior, posts that are way off topic,
etc.
Best,
