No. Weapons are most likely to hurt your self. So the ban on suicide
bans weapons.
And this is why we don't arm soldiers, because they'll only kill
themselves with their firearms...?

Possibly why in Britain soldiers have to put away their weapons
when off duty.

And why do traffic policemen have to put away their motorbikes when

Everything is possible
Now change soldiers to police.

By the way, explain to us why in rhe US, with over 300,000,000 guns in
private hands, there are only about 900 fatal accidents annually, while
with
about the same number of cars, there are over 42,000 accidental deaths.
Oh and about 8,000,000,000,000 billion rounds of ammo are fired off with
those guns annually.

Your contention that potential suicides will typically change
method if one is not avaiable is nonsense Fred, as for your
utterly irrelevant reply, it shows, again, your lack of
knowledge. You do cherry-pick data rather nicely though which
demonstrates your willingness to misuse data you do not
understand to demonstrate a point you also do not comprehend.

Yes, I'm calling you an idiot and deliberate liar. I insulted you

Of course not - it was a wild and stupid claim.

Eugene L Griessel

The probability of someone watching you is proportional to the
   stupidity of your action.

          -  I post only from Sci.Military.Naval  -

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimated 52,447
deliberate and 23,237 accidental non-fatal gunshot injuries in the
United States during 2000. The majority of gun-related deaths in the
United States are suicides,[5] with firearms used in 16,907 suicides
in the United States during 2004.[6]

Mmmmm.  By my calculations you guys are well below the international
average.  You will have to work harder!  That tally, if you were
keeping pace with the rest of the world, should be around 24000 per
annum!  (That is suicides by gunshot.)  As for the estimated
deliberate attempts - that's fewer than half of what the rest of the
world is achieving.  Obviously the US is not very suicidal!

Eugene L Griessel

   and aggravation later in life.
