By the way, explain to us why in rhe US, with over 300,000,000 guns in
private hands, there are only about 900 fatal accidents annually, while with
about the same number of cars, there are over 42,000 accidental deaths.
Oh and about 8,000,000,000,000 billion rounds of ammo are fired off with
those guns annually.
Do you have stats for suicides involving guns? I know it's pretty low

in the United States during 2004.[6]

In the US it is usual for cops to carry a pistol when off duty. It
seems that the enemies they make on duty are still there when the
shift ends. Sometimes they have to shoot someone who richly deserves
it.

And why do traffic policemen have to put away their motorbikes when

My experience of traffic policemen who ride motorcycles for a living is
that when they put away their duty machine they promptly get on a
privately owned machine and keep on riding.

doing round the bend".
Perfectly safe but it'd look bloody dangerous to a non biker. |

Suicides make up around 56% of all gun deaths in the United States. In
2006 there were 16,883 firearm suicides. However, since suicides will
typically find some method other than firearms if a firearm is not
available, I consider that number to be pretty meaningless.
