My favorite photography blog has a post about 10 recently discovered
photographs. One of them is a photograph of Neil Armstrong, face fully
visible, on the Moon. It's rather rare to see a photograph of Armstrong
on the Moon, rarer still to see a lunar face that isn't obscured by the
gold sun-filter.

Note the copyright. Anyone know the back-story for this one?

Off-topic, but the entire set of recently discovered images:

The back story is that it's a restored film frame, not a still photograph.

....The photo of Phineas Gage has been uncovered before. In fact, I saw
that photo attached to the article I read in 1969 discussing his
accident and how it contributed to behavioral science and especially
towards the understanding of lobotomies.

....I wonder, tho. Did the guy who wrote that blog add that copyright,
or did Andy? One of us should probably drop him a line and ask him
about that one.
