Hi,
Can anybody tell me why to avoid acidic, acylating or alkylating
groups in reaction "Baylis-Hillman Vinyl alkylation". Whether these
groups produce any side products? If possible please provide me
related literature reference.
Thank you. |

Do you know what the reaction IS? Do you know the mechanism?
Do you know what pKa is?
For related (relevant) literature, start with a good, basic
org chem textbook, e.g., Carey and Sundberg, Vols. 1 and 2.
(Is this Q some sort of homework assignment for an orgo course?) |
