Blood shot eye...

I've had this problem for a few years where my right eye gets blood
shot in one particular spot, then it gets better on its own after a
few minutes or hours. I can't tell what causes it (doesn't seem to be
exercise) and it doesn't affect my vision. Is this OK or does it mean
anything in particular?
