If still there, the Reborn/Resurrected State of Israel will celebrate
its 100th anniversary in 2048. Some notable information exists about
an asteroid strike on the Earth in 2049. The Bible says there will be
one or more asteroid (or other cosmic object) impacts on the Earth
(with no date given, of course).

From space.com:

"All but one of the asteroids currently on the Sentry list are zeros
on the Torino Scale. Topping the list, though, is a space rock named
2002 CU11, discovered Feb. 7. It presently has a 1-in-100,000 chance
of hitting Earth on Aug. 31, 2049. But as its orbit is refined, it is
quite possible that this asteroid, like many before it, will be
categorized harmless. "

The biblical prophecy is in Revelation 8, esp 8:8-11.

I doubt, from experience, the following direct link to the ICRs Bible
search facility and the specific book and capter will work, but just
in case....

IPORTANT NOTE: Things like the 2012 stuff, and even this post, when
not coming true on date specified, provide cannon fodder for the
scoffers; no man knows the day nor hour! But it's just a thought!

*plonk*

Do not reply to this generic message, it was automatically generated;
you have been kill-filed, either for being boringly stupid, repetitive,
unfunny, ineducable, repeatedly posting politics, religion or off-topic
subjects to a sci. newsgroup, attempting cheapskate free advertising
for profit, because you are a troll, simply insane or any combination
or permutation of the aforementioned reasons; any reply will go unread.

Boringly stupid is the most common cause of kill-filing, but because
this message is generic the other reasons have been included. You are
left to decide which is most applicable to you.

There is no appeal, I have despotic power over whom I will electronically
admit into my home and you do not qualify as a reasonable person I would
wish to converse with or even poke fun at. Some weirdoes are not kill-
filed, they amuse me and I retain them for their entertainment value
as I would any chicken with two heads, either one of which enables the
dumb bird to scratch dirt, step back, look down, step forward to the
same spot and repeat the process eternally.

This should not trouble you, many of those plonked find it a blessing
that they are not required to think and can persist in their bigotry
or crackpot theories without challenge.

You have the right to free speech, I have the right not to listen. The
kill-file will be cleared annually with spring cleaning or whenever I
purchase a new computer or hard drive.

I'm fully aware that you may be so stupid as to reply, but the purpose
of this message is to encourage others to kill-file fuckwits like you.

I hope you find this explanation is satisfactory but even if you don't,
damnly my frank, I don't give a dear. Have a nice day.

Well that's inconvenient, since for us to do science, we need things
worded in such a way that they can be tested and proven or disproven.

Okay, I think we can do some science here. August 31, 2049, if an
asteroid hits the Earth and messes up the water supply, Revelation is
right and Frank isn't a kook. If it doesn't, Revelation may still be
right (since it doesn't set a date), but Frank is a kook. Sound like
a good experiment? ;)
