If you were more sure of your 'religion' you would not be so quick to
jump on others. Instead your lack of confidence shows in how you fail
to respect anyone else's beliefs.

Emotional music is not evidence for God.
Do you shoot heroin and feel so good that there must be a God?
Sure Christian inspired music may have a few hits but it doesn't
compare in magnitude to other music phenomenon.

More "bullshit" took place under godless communism (think about living
in China or Russia under communism) than took place in Christian
societies in the same era. All developed Christian societies allow
for debate and criticism of the church. Funny thing is, people like
you don't have a clue as to where all the freedoms you have came
from. Keep promoting that religion is "bullshit" and on day you won't
have it to bother you anymore. Of course, you never think about what
will replace Christianity when every single citizen is as enlightened
as you are.

That may be so today. But just 60 years ago their religion was to
worship the emperor. Their religion/lack of religion back then did
not show much mercy to the Chinese, the Koreans or anyone else. If
the Japanese were help to the same standards by the atheists (read
political liberals perhaps) in this country, they would be called all
kind of names for their "bigotry" towards other people. The new
Japanese belief system is about 60 years old. So far the new Japan is
not so bad, I admit, but there is not much history there.

Japan is going through some real demographic/identity issues. It
would be interesting to see how their beliefs change over the next
several hundred years.

What the fuck is the point? Why can't people believe in different things?
Are you so insecure in your believe that you can't coexist with others that
believe in something different. I'm an atheist(technically an agnostic) and
have no issues with christanity. What pisses me off is when you get so
called atheists who are simply anti-christianity because they think they are
the only ones who can be hypocrits.

The fact is that some people need religion and some people need
anti-religion. Others like me just exist as it is. The problem with both
sides, and more so with the anti-christians, is that they are so insecure in
their belief that they do not want to hear others opinions.

It's not that bad with christians any more but it's getting ridiculous with
atheists. So we can't have the pledge any more? Can't have the 10
commandents? Can't have god on the dollar bill? WTF is this insanity? How
mentally unstable are you if your whole foundation of your belief is shaken
when you see someone else with a different point of view?

No, what it is really is, is your narcissism that you think your god and
christians are worshiping the wrong diety. Most so called atheists are more
pathetic than they think the people they hate are. Christians have come a
very long way... I just hope the atheists(and islamist) make the same
progress.

In fact if you were any type of reasonable atheist you would realize that
christianity(mainly, as compared to most of the other crappy religions such
as islam) has done much good for humanity. Sure it did some bad things but
most of the popular religions have.

For one thing we wouldn't have much of the great artists of the pre-20th
century to admire. Their believe in god is what drove them to do such great
things. Bach's music was a dedication to his god. Bach has touched many
people musically regardless of religion. Yet you want to take that away?
Simply because he chose to believe in something different than you?

Most atheists claim to have some special intellectual understanding of life
but they do not. When you hear them rant against religion(but almost alway
really it is christianity) you know they are simply anti-christians and
choose to call themselfs atheists so they can feel special.

Similarly how there are very few true christians there are very few true
atheists. Most people just exist in a blithering state of confused
adolescence and latch onto the first thing that give them some hint of
sexual gratification.

The problem isn't religion. It's people... people like you and brent. It's
not that your just intolerant but your also ignorant. Removing religion from
humanity isn't going to make you any smarter.

As long as humans are immature as you we will need religion. You may think
that religion is bad but atheisism hasn't done a damn thing for you, has it?
Oh right... saved you a bit of time on sundays?

This isn't specifically aimed at you, D, but this debate over religion is
pure and simple about ignorance. Each person has a right to his own
philosphical view and even if it gets your panties in a wad.

What I have noticed is that christians are much more tolerent of
non-christians than non-christians of christians. (it wasn't always this way
but it is this way now)

All I can say is that if atheist results in people like you(again, not
specifically you) then I guess I better just get my 72 virgins because all
is lost.
