My Daughter has 4 white campbell ducks (3f 1m) they are 1 year old
from my own pair of ducks, just recently they have started laying blue
eggs, instead of white ones. What is the cause of this? and are they
OK to eat.

Did they always lay white eggs until recently?
How long have they been laying for?
Have you changed food supplier, or is there a scavenge food they may be
eating (balckberries?)

My runners lay blue for the black duck, and white for the white
duck. Both have similar, if not pretty much identical contents.

Hi,
Yes they laid white eggs until recently, they do scavenge food around
the garden, so will check what they can eat. With their normal food
she has changed supplier, but the food should be the same make as they
had before.
Will speak to my daughter soon and will write again.

Thanks
Terry

It might be something they are eating if they laid white eggs before.
There's no reason not to eat them - you don't eat the shells ;-)
