It happens, but I like to think that I *tend* to be even-tempered.
You tend to be fair, I would say. I hope that is also true of me, at
least most of the time.
I'll cop to "sarcastic", though.
Fair enough and I can be the same, but will sarcasm enhance our
chances of getting to allegorical heaven?
Oh, yeah, sure it will.

Photographers sometimes use a thing called a "slave" which sets off a
remote flash wirelessly when it detects the light from another
"master" flash. Some of them are about the size of a matchbook and
fit on the hot shoe mount of a portable flash unit, so you can control
any number of flashes from a flash on your camera. I found them
useful when photographing concerts, except sometimes cigarette
lighters will set them off.
Anyway, many years ago I needed to replace one of mine slave units, so
I walked into a camera store and told the dude in lighting, "I'm
looking for one of those little slaves that you use..."
"Aren't we all?!" he grinned.
We laffed!

Slaves work because 1) Light is so fast, and 2) the originating flash
is not instanteous in duration. Bugs Bunny notwithstanding.
In other news, I got a brand new pair of skates.

You should, so you can stay ahead of the harvester when it goes rogue.

The universe works because it doesn't really exist except as
an abstract concept. In this case it is because the original
flash lasts long enough to still be shining after the slaves
are activated.
Bugs Bunny, however, flouts the laws of physics. That's what
the man said! You heard what he said!
