In the old FAQs for alt.astrology there are a lot of references to a list of
astrological resources that used to go with the group. This no longer seems
to be at the address mentioned. I would like to get hold of a copy of this
list, can anyone help?

The original one was a list of astrological organizations, recommended
books, software, etc. I'd like a copy of it if anyone has one, as I am
trying to update the FAQs. They refer to the resource list quite often, and
if I can't get the resource list I 'll have to remove all those parts.

Thanks,

This is an old one, the abusers deleted the others from the archives
which I posted.

They are both old, and because I was the only one posting who had
access to the psychlit database, I doubt many can be repleced either.
Much information has been lost because no one would help me kill the
abusers accounts before they could mess up the archives and search
info. I posted information ON EVERYTHING.
If you are really interested in this I have the organizations listed

Really Explain who the abusers are and how they managed to delete you
posts from any so-called archives?

IF you posted something once, you've posted it a thousand times.

The only need resource for astrology is ther fact, astrology is a
form of Apophenia, a type one state error and has no real use.

Wow! Thanks very much. I'll hang on to those. How did you get at the
American Psychological Association database? It's so difficult to find
research like that.

The resource list I was actually looking for, though, was the one that went
with the old alt.astrology FAQs. Since this no longer seems to be
available, I'll go through the FAQs and remove the references to it. Pity,
but there you are.

I didn't know it was possible to remove someone else's postings from a
Usenet archive. What happened exactly?

Thanks again,

That's because you are stupid or ignorant. I grant you ignorant
status for a while.

There is not such thing as a usenet archive. Even google in court
only claims to have a very large spool. Since the users actually own
copyright and full control over their articles, that can request
removal any time for any reason.

Google and other have decided that they can retain articles as long
as they wish, unless the user has requested them to be removed.

Standard Usenet Server Protocol calls for 'use of expiries', a dated
removal of the article. Because Google doesn't use a standard
newsserver they never implemented the expiry feature (thus breaking
usenet standards), requiring the users to place an XNA request in
headers.

Secondly any time a user violates the usenet etiquette is used to be
normal for the admins to issue G-line or K-line cancellations and
remove posts. Also any individual that wished could also issue
advisory notices to admins to remove posts for various reasons. MMF,
Spamming, Velveta and other forms of net abuse.

Ed fell under the one such removal advisory service for the screed
posting of multiple articles over a long period of time. It was
recognized by most admins as abuse of the net and removed. Ed is also
the people responsible for several groups being removed from SDSU,
and being honored as the only Student at California State University
as having his entire usenet privileges suspended permanently.

The list of servers that drop or fail to permit transmission of Ed's
articles may number in the hundreds.

See that's what happens when one is considered a net abuser. I do
believe the actual count for Ed Wollmann losing accounts is over 20,
including on at Verio, a web server, which charged him a clean up
fee.

Would use take counseling in any form from a person like Ed?
