Heysan,

Some of you probably know BOINC ...

<http://boinc.berkeley.edu/>

.... a software-program, where you can make the unused computer-power
available for scientific research.

There is a wealth of projects, see ...

<http://boinc.netsoft-online.com/e107_plugins/boinc/get_user.php?cpid=2ce86db80ec7919b0d76a942f6b947a5&html=1>

.... including the famous Seti at (no spam) home

--

But when I have multiple projects running at-the-same-time on my computer,
so allocated to each project an equal share of the "cake".

Fx. if I have 3 projects running, then get assigned to each project ...

33% SETI at (no spam) home
33% Milkyway at (no spam) home
33% Einstein at (no spam) Home

But I would like fx. ALWAYS (whatever) to assign
Seti at (no spam) home project across 90% of resources.

But * how * do I do that?

(Have searched in vain in many places.)

Can it be done (this my wish) in the current relationship?

Med venlig hilsen,
Mogens Kall, The servant of Michael, the *fool* of Christ.

Yes, go to the web page for your account in each project and change the
resource share. They will be set at 100% for each project initially and
then split three ways. Setting Seti to 90 and the other two to 5 should
work.

You don't need to set all three: BOINC will always 'normalize' the
percentages -- some of a user's hosts may not be attached to all the
projects he runs, so it can't assume the total 'weight' is 100. Assuming
the resource shares are currently at their default setting of 100, just
changing SETI at (no spam) home's to 1800 will have the same effect.

Yes, that's the way I'd do it as well. I had a mental block and just
couldn't think of the words to explain it :-)
