Well, it came this afternoon, I have it installed and have typed just a
couple of pages with it. Sure is noisy! Keys have a nice solid feel,
not squishy the way so many keyboards are now. I had to give up my
wireless mouse in order to plug this thing in, and I think I will be
missing that, will just have to see how it goes. Also will take a while
to learn to use the Optimize key, but since it allows you to leave your
hands on the home row more of time, I'm sure I will learn to like it.
Took me a while to find the cap lock! I will need to use this for a few
days before I know, but I certainly like the feel of it right now.

Gisele,
Have you considered a USB hub? (so you can plug in your mouse)

Yeah it is noisy but you know for sure when you have pressed a key!
It's hard to do certain dictation because of that. You adjust. I didn't
install the optimizer options. But one thing I really like is that caps
lock has a little light under the F13 key that you can just glance and
know it's on or off.

It definitely takes some getting used to. But people who are oriented
to getting the max out of their keyboard deserve to try out different
options that offer different features.

Keep us posted.

The cap lock key does not come on when I press it, could there be
something wrong with the keyboard? The only way I can get cap lock is
hit the Optimizer key and the bottom right key on the keyboard that has
the extra function on it for cap lock. Am I missing something here? I
will look into a USB hub for the mouse, I thought perhaps both keyboard
and mouse had to be wireless. My wireless signal for my keyboard was
always rather weak, though, I think it was getting interference from
other things that I have on my desk. This new keyboard feels very
comfortable as I'm typing with it now. Also, how does one install
Optimizer functions? This did not come with anysoftware, just the
keyboard and not much documentation.

I had to make the choice to install optimizer or not. Apparently on this
page you get the choice of installing PC with optimizer or not. It says
it comes preprogrammed with optimizer installed. Look here and see the
icons inside the download:

http://www.matias.ca/tactilepro2/support/mac/index.php

I saw that optimizer key right where the shift lock would be and
thought to myself that I had no intention or trying to re-learn
keyboarding shortcuts according to whatever some programmer there
thought would be helpful. I have my own shortcuts set up, i.e. every
function key of mine does what I have programmed it to do. I'd rather
not have the keyboard take over functions.

I really don't think I could stand it if the caps lock key didn't lock
the caps.

Also for some reason -- maybe because of no optimization -- the button
on the top right which is supposed to boot the system doesn't work for
me. I have to boot the way I always did before.

Besides, how many ways do you need to backspace/delete anyway? This
keyboard optimizer is definitely set up (IMHO) for somebody who is
dependent on their eyes on the keyboard, where their fingers are not
covering up all the optimized codes (accountants come to mind).

So, if I can uninstall the Optimizer, will that key on the right, under
tab, go back to just being caps lock? I like the feel of the keyboard
so far quite a bit.

For me that optimize key does a caps lock.

Actually I didn't buy it for the optimize option. I bought it for the
bent-spring technology of the old IBM's. I don't care for the keyboard
having a mind of its own so to speak, I'd rather control where I like
things to happen.

Just wanted to report in after using this for a few days, I like this
keyboard quite a bit!

I wrote to the company asking how I can take the "optimizer"
programming off so that I can have the cap lock key back in the same
position, but I can live with it for now, and I give two thumbs up on
this keyboard!

Gisele, I'm happy you like it. I'd have a hard time going back to
squashy quiet keys I think.

I was wondering, since you didn't have to install anything to have the
optimizer key work, I would guess that using the previous download I
provided, which is for PC without optimizer, that might be what controls
the keyboard, without having to uninstall anything.

In the download, there are four options inside the folder, just choose
the one that says PC without optimizer. I couldn't stand that feature.

That download did not work for me, my computer did not know how to open
up the file, and I couldn't find a way to execute it. That's what I
wrote to the company about. Thanks for the suggestion anyway. I will
let you know if they get back to me.
