Yes it does. I'd complain, but mebbe they've got the OPD in their
pockets too.
Very sad. This has not been reported (that I'm aware of) in the ADA
news, and I doubt it will be reported in the state journal. I would
like to hear an explanation for why the membership is to be cut out of
the political process.
Notice that the first comment in the blog is from our bud NYSCOF.
Quite a non-sequitur.

I did not check the blog on the NY Times.

Sounds like the chief lobbyist bought himself a job with money from you
guys.

I think he was acting as a lobbyist for ADPAC before he became
executive director. Of course, now we pay him for BOTH jobs, and the
society has taken away our vote. They just keep giving me more reasons
to support the ADA.
Our new gov. is scheduled to sign the bill to disenfranchise the
membership tomorrow.

Hopefully everyone will quit their membership and make a statement.

The man leading the charge against the state is I believe a member of
the (now ousted) NYC Dental Association board, a Manhattan orthodontist
I know. I wish him all the best in his fight.

This would be a very good thing, but somehow I doubt it will happen.

I missed the story, and it was in the NY Times. It has not been
reported (that I can tell) in the ADA news. I'm sure there won't be a
word in the NY State Dental Journal. In short, the dentists in
Manhattan will have serious cause to consider their position.
Otherwise, no one will know.
It's kind of like a pro-democracy demonstrator in China. We may hear
about it, but they won't.
