You gave a quote "made of iron" which does not match
the use of metal for fittings which was done in the
oldest we know of.

OK. The simple answer is still that this designation
"chariots of iron" need not be meant literally.

As we have no signs of any civilization which could have
much less did support military chariots in bibleland

As already mentioned by Dragonblaze, the Egyptians captured
924 chariots at Megiddo in 1457 BCE. So for sure the
Canaanites (Retenu) had chariots.
Including "chariots of silver and gold".
Which suggests that the term "chariots of iron" may refer to
the plain but practical war-chariots, as contrasted with the
gilded luxury-chariots.

the simplest is that it is just another part of the bible
invention.

In Neo-Babylonian there was also an expression "cattle
of iron" (sha parzillu) i.e. 'permanent stock'.

Permanent chariots?

indestructible, strong, lasting, hard, etc.

Speed and agility are the required features of chariots
to make them useful on the battlefield.
