Looking for some ideas to compare two curves based on engine Life-cycle
expenses. Basically have the yearly expenses over years and looking to see if
the two are significantly unalike... Thanks for all your ideas....

"Unalike".
The first two tests could be testing the mean of
expenses by year, and perhaps the variance.

Linear trend seems to me to be a third thing to test.

Of course, I have only statistical conventions to fall
back on. Do *you* have any hypotheses, based on
differences (say) in reputation?

These are not linear... Hypothsis would be great but can this done with two
non-linear curves. Should this work the same?? Testing the means by
year would be good but would like to compare the two engine models, yeat seems
to be a side effect or component..... Thanks....
