If Earth and Mars reversed in their orbits so that
Earth rotated in Mars' actual orbit, and Mars rotated in the actual
orbit of Earth, how would each planet be different? On the Earth's
oceans, would there still be pure water (along with the salts, of
course), or would there be a slight mixture of water with, say,
ammonia or methanol (as antifreezes)? And what would that mean for
life (not just as we know it) on both planets? |
