What do the letters and the number represent mnemonically?... in A1C
A ?...
1 ?...
C ?...
For example... HbA1c |

I don't think each letter stands for anything. There is hemoglobin A and
there is hemoglobin B...
hemoglobin A1C is a type of hemoglobin A that sugar "sticks" to. That is
it's name. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me.
