As every dedicated kookologist knows [tandk], there is no newsgroup
that has won more kook awards on a collective basis than alt.astronomy,
having surpassed even the misogyny of the socmans. Sure these are a
reflection of the close-knit and closed group of profound earth-space
pseudoscience officers clad in Star Trek pajamas, who are mostly still
intact: greysky, Bill "oldcoot" Sheppard, Double-A, Painius, and
Beert. There have been some significant changes to the group in recent
months, and it seems appropriate to provide an overview of the
happenings in the wild and whacky newsgroup known as alt.astronomy.
The traffic in the group remains quite high, with several hundred posts
per day.
First, thanks to the valiant cross-posting efforts of luminary kooks
Warhol the Mad Moor and Brad Guthball, alt.astronomy is no longer the
sleepy, forgotten little backwater it once was. Warhol continues to
spew his anti-Jewish propaganda and screed campaign into his five
favorite groups, with a.a at the head:

NoEinstein's ether assertions are quite at odds with the hallowed and
