Forgive me , i dont know if i am directing this question in the right
area. I was thinking the other day about children and the trends and
fads and just what is generally accepted as "normal", such as using
the computer or going online. As a parent of 3 i seem to frequently
be faced with the decision of my kids wanting to do or have something
for no other reason than "everyone else is doing it" My question is
whether not letting my kids do things or have things because i feel
they dont need them or may even be bad for them, may be worse than
them getting the experience of being included or belonging. Again, i
dont know if i am in the right place, but any help or suggestions on
where i might find out more would be greatly appreciated. |
