The past few days on the news I've been hearing about the push from
the various Clinton supporters to get her on the ticket as the Vice
President. If you cringe at the thought as much as I do, who do you
think would make a better VP for Senator Obama? What would they bring
to the general election to help him, and what would make the person a
good VP? A name mentioned on MSNBC news was Kansas Governor Kathleen
Selibius.

What about McCain's VP choice? The same above questions apply to
him.

What do you think of Senator McCain as head of Homeland Security if
Senator Obama is President? I heard this joked about on the news just
now.

I'm not that up on a lot of political figures, but I think the thoughts that
it should be someone with experience in national security, and probably
someone from one of those swing states with a lot of electoral votes that
would help with carrying the election. I don't really know who those people
are.

As for McCain, nothing he could do would make me vote for him, but I sure
hope he doesn't take Charlie Chris. Since he has been governor of Florida
he has actually been making an effort to live up to his campaign promises of
cutting property taxes and budget. He's making a lot of enemies doing it,
but he is actually saying "We can't afford it." Now he is a Republican I
could support, but I don't want McCain taking him away from Florida! After
all, what can he do as Vice-President?

I may change my mind about him before his term is up, but so far I like him.

VP choices for me for Obama would be either Jim Webb or Bill Richardson.
Both very sharp guys with great backgrounds who would bring lots to the
ticket!

There you go, Sue!

Big Bill is the best negotiator the U.S. has ever had. From getting the
hostages released in Iran to talking with the North Koreans, Bill is hard to
beat.

I'm sort of pulling for Bill Richardson, myself, although I don't think
Sebelius would be a bad choice. My BF likes Jim Webb.
