Question question questions…. When will I be able to stop thinking and
wondering. Wondering when or if I’ll figure out the meaning of life.
Some people say it’s happiness and being with the people you love.
Loving life… however, the system is not really set up for humans to
live that kind of life. Or is it that because I’m not living that kind
of life I suppose that’s how everyone else is living. Who is purely
happy? And if there is such person… would that happiness be brought by
peace of mind? What gives one peace of mind… if life is full of
choices and by making a choice one gives up another one. Can peace of
mind really exist if we have chosen one path in life by sacrificing
another one.
If there is such peace and happiness it must be brought about only by
knowing oneself. Questions questions questions…. Would it be better
not to think and just to be? Bingo! That sounds like a good recipe for
life… just be. But only by being would one’s life turn meaningless? Is
there any point in trying to look for a meaning? Honestly! The more I
find out about human history the more I see us, humans, repeating what
we did thousands of years ago. Evolving with technology and having a
more comfortable life yet living in turmoil with each other. In every
part of the world there is a parent teaching a kid how to have morals
and values; and how to respect others… but that kid… in China,
Afghanistan, Colombia, Australia… grows to a different world where one
person is more and another one is less… will equality ever exist? Will
we ever stop judging each other just because we are so different? How
come I know this in mi my heart when I’m looking at it as an outsider;
yet when I’m looking at it as an insider it’s a different story?
Questions questions questions… Will one be better off not knowing? And
by not knowing, not judging? Would human interactions be more
meaningful if we were less aware? If we would just “be” with each
other by avoiding all fears and “self-defense” actions against each
other. Is the internet making this a better world? I just don’t know.
I know nothing… I grow older and all I have is questions that I can’t
answer. How can I achieve that happiness and that peace of mind if I
just don’t know anything?

Answers answers answers!!! You are asking the right questions, and
they have to come first.

I have answers for each of your questions, but if I articulated
them ,what difference would that make to you.

As I read your mail, I see that you are beyond beliefs. You would
either believe or not believe what I stated, which, as I suggest, is
of no use to you. Sure, you may get some level of confirmation, but
you have to come up with some answers befor they can be confirmed.

An athlete makes a good analolgy. He is born with a certain talent,
but it is only when he starts the effort, that coaching will bring out
his best realization. The coach being a catalyst.

Someting to contemplate on. You already have the answers. If you
recognise each culture as the equivalent of the university (nothing
changes for the 'group' consciousness), you will start to recognise
the point from which your are looking.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meaning_of_life

"Some people, notably the logical positivists, have asked questions like
"What does the question 'What is the meaning of life?' mean?" and also
questioned whether it is a meaningful question. Others have considered the
question "If there are no objective values, then is life meaningless?"
Existentialists hold that meaning can be created by oneself, rejecting the
nihilist view. Some, including Humanists, have aimed to develop an
understanding of life that explains, regardless of how we came to be here,
what we should do now that we are here.
In addition to the naturalistic hypotheses concerning the origin of life,
consciousness and the universe offered by science, some philosophers and
theologians posit a "watchmaker" or "intelligent designer" as the creator of
the physical universe, mainly based on teleological and/or cosmological
arguments. And others have considered the human need for some higher or
supernatural ideal, for instance, in reference to Nietzsche's postulation of
the "death" of God, Heidegger puts the problem as "If God as the
suprasensory ground and goal of all reality is dead, if the suprasensory
world of the Ideas has suffered the loss of its obligatory and above it its
vitalizing and upbuilding power, then nothing more remains to which man can
cling and by which he can orient himself."

Religious answers to the question "What is the meaning of (my) life?" tend
to include a certain moral demand and to sooth the grief associated with
death. Mysticism focuses more on direct experience than religions generally
do, and it has been associated with various movements. In general the view
is that life is a happening, an unfolding, and the meaning of life is living
a life in accordance with it. Spirituality sees life as an inner-awakening
or a discovery and transforming of one's understanding and insight, and can
be summarized as understanding the meaning of life, all of life and reality
itself."
