Hello everyone,
I need to understand if it is possible and how to add tons of ammonia
+ tons of ammonium nitrate + tons of UAN and tons of urea?
For exemple
if I had 1 ton of each can I said that I have 4 tonnes of nitrogenous
fertilizer
Thank you in advance for your help
Obviously if you add them, the total would be the sum of the weights. In
this case four tonnes. But, reading between the lines, that's not what you
are asking.
What you want to know is the percentage and weight of nitrogen in the total,
not the total weight, right?
To do this, figure the weight of nitrogen in each by it's percentage. For
example say one of them was 22% nitrogen. Then that one would have 220kg of
nitrogen. Figure each and add them up, by weight. For example, say the
weights of nitrogen were: 220kg, 460kg, 132kg, 485kg. Then the sum is 1297kg
of nitrogen for all.
That's what you really want to know, how much nitrogen is there in total. In
this example, 1297kg. And, the total percentage would be 1297/4000 X 100% =
32.4% Nitrogen.
This is an example only, the percentages are not the actual percentages in
the above materials.
