I post on about three to five newsgroups. Every one of them has what I
call a Looney, someone who has no understanding of the purpose of the
newsgroup but feels like a real human being just being allowed to make
a nuisance of themselves. I suggest this is a sign of growth in a
newsgroup, that without the Looney the group disintegrates into petty
bickering and discussions of the same small points over and over.

So we should all rejoice in the Archeo Looney and wish him many happy
returns of the day.

The sad thing is you said it.

Because of your sorry record, I dub you the Sci.arch Loon. If you
decide to change your image (hard to imagine), start doing some
homework on your own instead of charging in blindly with attacks
on others.

As bad and ragged as sci.arch is, soc.religion.quaker is far, far
worse. They don't have a Looney; instead, the board is uncouthly
cross-posted by people who couldn't care less about quakerism.
There are no quakers left there; they have been driven out.

I've taken steps to improve the atmosphere here on sci.arch with
some straight talk directed at Peter Alaca. Without patronizing
him, I encouraged Peter to make small changes in himself. If
he must, he should learn to killfile.

WHy do bunnies need to eat carrots for? Why do they need such good eyesight?

Buffy rules!

Beyond that, just what makes you think you have an opinion of any merit

Everyone else calls you Carl the Insane
No they don't; you made it up.  You are a victim
of confirmation bias.

No. He is correct though I prefer to think of you as a waste of space

Carl the Wasteofspace?
That is only one way to put it.

Or how about the clueless loon? Cloonless?
