A feature that I found (how many persons more?)
The statistics
___D = max [ max [F(Yi) – (i-1)/N , i/n – F(Yi)]]
where Yi notes the i greater value of the observed sample (X1, .., Xn) after the values be reduced by the Xi = (Xi –m )/s, m the sample mean and s the sample standard deviation.
The goal is a have a little information concerning the dependence D= D(i) when the Population is Normal..
For n=20, I obtained the frequencies
__i =1____0.001________i =20________0.001
__i =2____0.011________i =19________0.011
__i =3____0.021________i =18________0.023
__i =4____0.034________i =17________0.036
__i =5____0.049________i =16________0.050
__i =6____0.063________i =15________0.060
__i =7____0.072________i =14________0.072
__i =8____0.078________i =13________0.079
__i =9____0.083________i =12________0.085
__i =10___0.086________i =11________0.086
(500´000 samples, size 20).
It seems to me that the distribution is symmetric decreasing, the centred on i = 10 , 11..

The goal is a have a little information concerning the dependence D= D(i) when the Population is Normal..
For n=5, I obtained the frequencies
_______i =1______0.001
_______i =2______0.294
_______i =3______0.409
_______i =4______0.294
_______i =5______0.001
Symmetric distribution centred on i = 3 and decreasing to both extremities.
