Have a look at:
http://www.lawrencevilleplasmaphysics.com/focusfusionmain.htm
Very interesting, In how many years with they be able to manufacture
and sell these engines which will produce 5 MW Power at 1/ 100 th the
cost of Oil & Coal Energy?

I don't know. But here is a bit more information:
http://focusfusion.org/log/index.php/site/article/49
The focus fusion idea is in controversial competition
with the tokamak fusion research. But it appears to
have impressed some people in NASA's jet propulsion lab!
It is a pity that such new ideas find it hard to get
funding, even when the world has the present, serious
need of new, environmentally clean energy sources.

tolerences add. Desktop fusor or the sun, it's a guaranteed
untameable mess that does not improve with scaling. A centrally
managed economy will go to shit (and much more so for escalated
Federal intervention),
The reason that centrally planned economies do not work is
not because tolerances add. It is to do with the fact that a
govt is incapable in principle of gathering the information that
is required to make it work. And incapable in principle of
making the value judgements required for people to enjoy
the situation in a country.
Consider one simple example: Should I move closer to my
job? Or should I improve my ability to commute by getting a
better car or some other such thing? Such details as how
much cash I have on hand, how much I hate commuting,
how bad the traffic and weather is, how important the better
car would be for non-commuting activity, what sort of area
I would be moving to and from, these all feed into the choice.
And they will be very personal and very difficult to put into
dollar terms. And they will change over time. And there are
many other things like how confident I am the job will be
there in a year, in five years, what I think my health will
be like in a year or five years, etc. etc. etc.
A govt can, at best, do things like taking surveys to get
information. That will produce a poorly averaged snapshot
of a poorly selected set of data.
A govt has only got a small number of "knobs" to twiddle
to influence such a thing. They can do things like changing
tax levels (almost universally raising them), setting fines,
assessing license fees, etc. And it's really not possible for
a govt to try several 100 different ways of doing things (such
as a private economy would be able to) and select the more
popular among them.
The result is, they decide to put a toll on the busiest
roadways, telling a huge lie that the money will be used
to improve the highway. Eventually the toll will get big
enough I get sick of paying it, and move closer to my
job. Next result: Govt then starts losing revenue and goes
on a hunt for more problems to "solve." Final result, the
entire culture gradually gets fucked up by the govt.

Why don't you just get one of your spook pals to go in and turn it off
for me?
Hey if two or more people discuss committing an act it's a conspiracy.
How many people have you discussed pretending without proof that there
is no conspiracy? It's impossible for you to prove that there is no
conspiracy yet you have stated such as a FACT! Therefore you are a
liar.
case proven!
Laugh, laugh, laugh!
You have exactly ONE post to apologize to me or your ISP "may or may

You are SO damn funny!

I enjoy your posts, Mr. Smith,
and Benj's bogeymen don't interest me at all.
While libel is illegal, and it can get you in trouble,
Usenet is seldom censored.. use a killfile instead.
I doubt Google would block Benj. He's posted from:
“ ppp-69-213-185-252.dsl.wotnoh.AmeriTech.NET; Columbus, OH ”.
This year, I've been voted a kook award each month:
January: “ Kook of the Month ”
February: “ Clueless Newbie ”
March: “ Goofy-Assed Baboon ”.
Others have said that my excessive use of drugs and whores
has turned my brain into “ scrambled eggs ”.
I've Never done drugs, rarely do I drink;
and, since 1991, I've been with only one woman ( very briefly ). |

Google.groups does not permit / provide killfiles. Additionally, Benj
or Androcles might come up with "the question" that could point in a
valid direction of research. Lastly, the newbies I am "sworn" to help
don't know what to believe, if they only hear "one side" of each
argument.
I do keep Androcles killfiled at home. For more than six years, we
have been trying to "fix" one another, and no one else needs to be
subjected to that. Espeically when the arguments continue to go in
circles, or simply dive into personal attacks of various sorts. My
weakness...

No.
David A. Smith
David lies. It has been squelched as so many developments are which
have political implications. There is NO greater and more important
implication than the destruction of the control of the world through
energy sources (Oil, coal, etc). Any decent (meaning simple and
inexpensive) fusion device would be impossible to control and hence
impossible to be used to control the world. Such a device would have
to be hidden through conspiracy, corruption and ignorance.
In the case of Cold Fusion (better termed low energy fusion), we see a
combination of all three. Those in power rely on the gullibility and
ignorance of physicists to accept whatever some on tells them (like
David above) and to not think for themselves, nor to examine any data
in detail. They especially rely on them not to look into any hints of
conspiracy of any kind (assuming they don't want their careers to end
right now) and also to rely on their paid minions in the "peer review"
system to keep any "unwanted" research out of the "accepted" journals
to allow undesirable facts to be ridiculed and the scientists
reporting them to be denigrated. Such is the way the world works in
2008. |

And how many of these reactors have been installed and working? Well,
none of course.
Their projected net income is negative through this year. They won't
sell any licenses until next year and no reactors until 2011. All
projections.
O.K., at least they ARE working on it.
Doesn't sound much better than Lawrence Livermoor!
