IEA, an organisation founded 1973 after the first oil crisis
publishes each year a WEO world energy outlook
All the time, steep increase of oil usage.
Now there is an interview with the IEA.
The WEO 2008 which will be published in November is
complete different. Steep decline in oil.

financialsense is a investor site...some of these sites have
a tendency to get analysis right, because they make money when
they do...financialsense has been about a year ahead of the
curve for more then ten years in regards to commodities/energy
so has a pretty good record....so I have a tendency to believe
their analysis...
have fun.....sno

Whoever PEGE is, if they are going to produce a convincing english website,
they need to hire an educated, native english speaker to compose it for
them. The site comes across very poorly in its present form. |

The consequences....
Increase photovoltaic world production as fast as possible
to replace oil by electric power
Cover the entire planet with photo cells and it won't be enough, half
will be in the dark 100% of the time.

Change all cars to plug-in hybrid or electric only
Then they will run on coal....

Treat the litihum battery development like the Manhattan project
If it's worth it then private industry will discover it, there was no
Manhattan project to discover manned flight. |

If I recall correctly, the United States is one of the more
energy consuming countries in the world and all of it's
energy needs could be met by covering an area equal to a
square measuring 200 miles on a side with current PV. This
is about 1/100th of the land area of this country.
You talk as if no one ever invented a way to store electricity.
I have heard of people who power their homes, business and
vehicles with solar energy so clearly it's possible.

Where did the energy come from to build that home, and all the energy to
do the rest of the things you need like make clothes water food and
transportation of such items.... Not enough space for enough photo cells
to power our planet.
It wouldn't even light all the light bulbs that currently run. |

Clearly you've never seriously looked at the energy consumption versus PV
output. Or you wouldn't be making such silly statements that are so easily
disproved.

70 m² per inhabitant are enough
It's seems You are unable for calulations

When I calculate 10.000 kWh per inhabitatt of planet earth,
it's only 70 m² per inhabitant
That includes all like industrial produciton, traffic,
sea water desalination as large consumers
