The threat of a UDP was enough for @Home to crack down on spammers in
early 2000. There have been UDPs or UDP threats since then.

(650) 253-0000 is their office number.

They tell me the same thing, that I have to use a form to complain about
Google goosing us. Although, if you a particualr Goosle proddick in
mind, then they would likely have refered me to that proddick department.
So what the heck, call and give them some spam. Me thinks I'll call and
ask help about using the Goosle Groups proddick. How come I can't find
any on topic posts?

Look up UDP with Google and get User Data Protocol.

You should look up "Usenet Death Penalty"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usenet_Death_Penalty
http://www.catb.org/jargon/html/U/Usenet-Death-Penalty.html

http://www.catb.org/jargon/html/I/Internet-Death-Penalty.html
" [Usenet] (often abbreviated IDP) The ultimate sanction against spam-
emitting sites — complete shunning at the router level of all mail and
packets, as well as Usenet messages, from the offending domain(s). Compare
Usenet Death Penalty, with which it is sometimes confused."

Well I have done both and when sending email the the abuse address
in the headers I received a boiler plate reply saying essentially they
really don't care but if you really want them to take action resend the
complaint using the web for. I've experienced it several times and I
have had several Google accounts removed for abuse and I have had quite
a few posts removed from the archive that contain personal information.
How many accounts/posts have you had removed by sending an email to the
abuse address??

David Ritz did a lot of the work with the intent to justify UDPs in past
years,
including the announced UDP against @Home in 2000;
that UDP notice was lifted in mid-January 2000.

This past January, Ritz was fined in a civil court case brought against
him by an ISP.
The court is a District court for the State of North Dakota ( = the
trial court).
Generally, I think an appeal from a state district court would first
go to a state appellate court; from there, it might be appealed to
the state supreme court; from there, it might be appealed to
a United States District court (a Federal court, as opposed to
a court of some state of the Union); and so on.

I won't comment on the case; that would be asking for trouble.

There was a story in the U.K. Register, and the opinion (or ruling) is
linked to there
in a PDF file:

Eight years ago? Sadly, usenet has ... degenerated ... a bit
since then.

BTW, is there still a Googler on the Big 8 Management Board?
Why not address the concerns to him?

The Big Eight Management Board does not read news.groups.
They do read news.groups.proposals, a moderated group, and your
inquiry would be off topic there.

The only way to get Google to care is to get their attention.
That is very hard to do considering the current state of Usenet and
how it is contracting.

Most of the members of the B8MB do at least skim over news.groups,
though they may have certain authors and threads killfiled.

Call Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
Expect your phone call to be recorded, archived and then keep in a
searchable database for eternity.

Google does not care...contrary to what certain Google shills will
tell you.

A UDP will not work against Google.
