Well Roger H and Skywise, you've both been asking where I am and
wondering what I'm doing.
I've been keeping a close eye on what's going on in Russia these days
and there's this horrible problem going on in both Russia and Moldova
with people kidnapping men's wives and taking them to other foreign
countries for the purpose of using them for prostitution. God, isn't
that awful? Meanwhile, the stock markets in Russia and Germany are
doing well and Germany just reported it's lowest unemployment rate in
15 years.
I paid homage to Parkfield on Easter with Don and we had a wonderful
time. There used to be an oversized Basset Hound named Sally who
roamed through town and everyone loved her. She died 4 years ago and
we discovered there are now Sally's II and III.
Our waitress and ranch owner Linda at the Parkfield Cafe is selling
her ranch and moving and we were sad to hear she's going, but also
glad to have the opportunity to say goodbye.
Donalee Thomason for which many of the instruments in Parkfield were
named has died leaving behind her book, "Cholama, The Beautiful One"
which describes her life in Parkfield, an earthquake experience where
she saw her dishes fly out of her cupboards, hang mid-air and then
fall to the ground and stories about her time spent with the
scientists who set up the Parkfield Project.
It was another great visit and a reminder that earthquakes aren't all
about science, but it's a human experience and when I keep that in
mind it gives me reason to wish to see the everyone have an
opportunity to survive through earthquake preparedness and prediction
whenever possible.
I'm around.

I think you may be confusing "wondering" with "mocking".

I'm sure we're all comforted by your diligence.

So the Arizona thing was a lie. |

I think I saw that in a Roadrunner cartoon once.
