Lower abdomen catscan question?

I forgot what was told of me and now the clinic is told, but i have a
catscan in the morning. Is it not to eat or drink anything like 12 hrs
before the catscan? Drinking water should be ok right. Going 12hrs w/o
water is going to be difficult.
