Manufacturing Engineers - 5 positions available:
We are looking for well qualified candidates to work with with a
superior manufacturer in the DFW area on cost reduction projects
throughout their facilities. These roles are contract to hire roles
with a stable Fortune 250 company specializing in the production of
hand tools.
The Manufacturing Engineer's role is to participate in and often
develop and lead strategic cost reduction projects and design
improvement projects (kaizens) in various departments throughout the
facility. The engineers will have regular interaction with managers,
supervisors, quality technicians, other engineers, team leads, and
production associates as well as outside service providers and vendor
representatives.
Successful candidates will possess a BS in Mechanical Engineering or
Technology and 3-10 years of project engineering and manufacturing
experience. The knowledge and skills required to be successful are as
follows:
*Machine/Process Design
*Experience with CNC cost reduction projects
*Tooling Design
*Comprehensive knowledge of machining, processing, and assembly
*Management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities
involving as many as 3-5 major projects simultaneously
*Experience with SMED, TPM, 5S and other lean concepts strongly
preferred.
