Can anyone give me a description of what this machine does and what it looks
like? I'm looking a paper, 1985, on photographic meteor trajectory
determination and they use it. A formula related to the device is z = U + Vr
+ S exp(Dr), where z is an angular distance from the zenth, r is the
distance from the center of project to known points, and the cap letters are
parameters that need to be determined. They do not describe U or V, as far
as I can see. S and D relate to a "shortening" of the scale with r. U and V
have the look of coordinates--(u,v). The device somehow has a fisheye lens.
