I am having trouble finding a good review of ccd technology, infact I
am more confused than ever. Some sites say that it is a way of
transfering charge across a SC surface, while others say that it is a
photon detector. Is there review of this technology that is at
interested layman level? Ie lots of pictures.. :)

Thanks
