Just to confirm my earlier post, I found this quote from David when he
was posting as Carl:

"I affirm that my undergraduate degree is in both political science
and
psychology; yet, I also know a little meteorology as well. "
I think that sums it up.  He has never taken and passed a course in
meteorology or I think any of the hard sciences. His profession was
software engineer.
His profile says his title is meteorologist but that is extremely
misleading. He says his industry is scientific but in fact I don't
think he has worked for many years.
The quote is from this thread:http://tinyurl.com/3ykojg

Wrong - at all points I gave accurate information.

When I said "a little meteorology", I was just being modest.

I know a lot of meteorology.

Enough said.

For Doug -

I don't want you to do to SGM what you have done to archaeology,
ancient history, quaker, environment, and global warming groups.

Your behaviour has been way out of bounds.

David Christainsen

Oh. Are you going to threaten to chase me out of your classroom as you
have done to people on sci.archaeology? Really David, look at the
beam before you complain about motes.

In part because you are not a Christian, your use of biblical language
is out of place on SGM.

Meanwhile, I anticipate a January Thaw in New England.
I could be wrong because predicting weather is an art
as well as a science. Do you agree?

The Bible has been quoted for centuries by many non-Christians. A non-
Christian quoting the Bible does not minimize the impact of the
inspiration of the words nor the power contained within. Your
assessment here, as in so many cases with your Usenet assessments, is
wrong.

You have no credentials in meteorology, therefore, you are unqualified
to make a scientific, meteorlogical assessment of anything weather-
related. You can guess, like the rest of us certainly, but in
meteorlogical circles your guess holds no weight. Do you agree?

You have no legitimate credentials in meteorology. On this issue,

DavidChristainsen

No, I said you had no qualifications in meteorology (you know,
certificates, degrees, whatever) and had never passed a course in
meteorology. I never said that you hadn't had a meteorology related
job, I know you were a System Integrator, but that does not make you a
meteorologist. You were a software engineer and I am sure you picked
up some meteorology. Claiming you can use the title 'meteorologist'
is misleading. I know a lot about archaeology and have passed some
university level courses in it, but I don't sign my name
'archaeologist' as that would also be misleading.
