Mark, since you do spend most of your time here defending mainstream
medicine, for better or for worse, you _are_ the face of mainstream
medicine in these ngs. So perhaps it might be a good idea for you to
think about this, and to consider that all this gutter language that
you're using may reflect directly on the mainstream medicine, the
reputation of which is apparently so dear to your heart.
You give me way too much power, moron.

Don't you worry about giving mainstream medicine a bad name?
Nope. Why should I when morons such as yourself give ample evidence of the
stupidity of alt med? Nothing I do can overcome that.

Ad hominem attacks can never serve as a persuasive argument in a debate.
You're old enough to know this, Mark.

That was not an ad hominem. Of course, if it makes you feel better,
continue to believe that.

Quote:
I asked you a simple question, but instead of a simple answer we get all

Like I said, dingbat, it was not a simple question. Of course, being
simple, like yourself, you would not know that.

Well, according to you, Dr Offit is not being paid for his efforts in
vaccine promotion. And I'm sure you'll also swear that you are not being
paid for your efforts here. So then where's the problem in comparing you to
Dr Offit?

Raising the issue is an ad hominem. I am surprised such an erudite
person such as yourself does not know that.

Every Scientist, or Doctor who has studied mercury poisoning all agree
there are genes involved in protection from mercury poisoning. This is

If some kids are less susceptable to Mercury poison, this may be
genetic, ie an inherent inherited capability of their body.

although there may be some other reason.

I hope this isnt to elaborate for you.

You are begining to sound like A) An attorney or B) A Pharma Shill.

But since this is common knowledge that even the attorneys would have
access to, I will share it
with the Mercury dummies.

We identified a
gene, CDC34 (also known as UBC3), that increased resistance
to methylmercury when overexpressed in yeast. CDC34 encodes
a ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme; such proteins play important
roles in the selective targeting of proteins for degradation.
Overexpression of UBC4 and of UBC7, two other genes
for ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, also conferred resistance to
methylmercury.

I know, its not the gene that actually excretes the mercury, Its the
Gene
that is needed to prevent mercury poisoning. The ubiquitin needs to
be working not only to
protect against mercury, but also to chelate mercury from the body.

The E1 site activates cysteine which chelates mercury.

Activation of ubiquitin - Ubiquitin is activated in a two-step
reaction by an E1 ubiquitin-activating enzyme in a process requiring
ATP as an energy source. The initial step involves production of a
ubiquitin-adenylate intermediate. The second step transfers ubiquitin
to the E1 active site cysteine residue, with release of AMP. This step
results in a thioester linkage between the C-terminal carboxyl group
of ubiquitin and the E1 cysteine sulfhydryl group.
Transfer of ubiquitin from E1 to the active site cysteine of a
ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 via a trans(thio)esterification
reaction. Mammalian genomes contain 20-30 UBCs.
The final step of the ubiquitylation cascade generally requires the
activity of one of the hundreds of E3 ubiquitin-protein ligases (often
termed simply ubiquitin ligase). E3 enzymes function as the substrate
recognition modules of the system and are capable of interaction with
both E2 and substrate. E3 enzymes possess one of two domains:

The pro-oxidative effects of the metals are compounded by the fact
that the metals also inhibit antioxidative enzymes and deplete
intracellular glutathione. The metals also have the potential to
disrupt the metabolism and biological activities of many proteins due
to their high affinity for free sulfhydryl groups. Cysteine has a
pivotal role in inducible, endogenous detoxication mechanisms in the
body

Connect the dots, and you will see how mercury poisoning occurs.

Well, that sounds a lot different than when you said "Of course there

put fire out with metal pipes, and when someone asks you to show how

If I'd take your advise serious and connect the dots, I'd say that if
someone gets poisoned by mercury, it's because of his genes. That's
all your quote allows to conclude, yet that is far from the truth.

Ad hominem attacks can never serve as a persuasive argument in a
debate. You're old enough to know this, Mark.
That was not an ad hominem.

And the earth is not round.

It is not truly "round" in the sense of a circle. I am glad to see you are
reading kindergarten level science books.

I asked you a simple question, but instead of a simple answer we get
all this cussing...
Like I said, dingbat, it was not a simple question. Of course, being
simple, like yourself, you would not know that.
Well, according to you, Dr Offit is not being paid for his efforts in
vaccine promotion. And I'm sure you'll also swear that you are not
being paid for your efforts here. So then where's the problem in
comparing you to Dr Offit?
Raising the issue is an ad hominem.

Raising the issue that you're not being paid is an ad hominem??

Well, we're well beyond the Looking Glass here!

No, Yuri, YOU are beyond the Looking Glass and off the deep end.

And this is not an ad hominem, right?

Yuri.

Hmm... So Dr. Offit is being funded by Merck, but he's not

His research is funded by Merck. Do prove he personally

So, Mr. Probert, would it be correct to say that Dr Offit is

Only morons use that.

I do not have to confirm shit to assholes like you. You

Mark, since you do spend most of your time here defending mainstream

You give me way too much power, moron.

Don't you worry about giving mainstream medicine a bad name?
Nope. Why should I when morons such as yourself give ample evidence of

You are aware the CDC sent out an ALARM to pediatricians all across
the Nation about
the epidemic of sick neurologically sick children. According to the
CDC 1 out of 6 children
have a developmental disorder. Would you call that an epidemic? Or
shall we wait until its

Thimerosal was still on the shelves until 2003. The children who have
taken this drug would be about 3-4 years old.
I am not sure when a child gets a diagnosis of Autism?

Oh my god. You do all this blathering about the dangers of thimerosal
and you don't even know when children are diagnosed with autism?

Sheesh.

Well, let me bring a little candle into the vast cavern of darkness
that you exhibit. Autism is seldom diagnosed before about 18 months
of age, though the age at which it *can* be diagnosed keeps dropping.
This is good, because the sooner you intervene with an autistic child,
the more good you can do (with behavioral therapy etc).

Autism, however, is often not diagnosed until after age 2, or
sometimes not until a child enters school. It partly depends on the
severity of the case.

autism? Please clarify this for us...
While all the causes are not known, it appears that there has to be a
genetic component for autism to exist.

A genetic component is that boys have different dominant hormones than
girls. ( 3x as many males as
females develop the symptoms.)

The second genetic component is that some humans handle toxins and
excrete mercury and aluminum
better than others. ( That is why autistic kids retain the metals in
their brains and go nutzoid.)

This still leaves vaccines with mercury, aluminum, and toxins as the
causative agent/agents.

Explain why the rate of Autism has NOT decrease since the removal of
thimerosal according the the California numbers, which the
pro-epidemicists used to claim was absolute proof of an epidemic.-
