No, *we* cannot for several reasons. First, his opinions are totally
consistent with reality. Second, he fully discloses his affiliations.
BTW, the anti-vac liars hate his guts so much that they have assaulted

Paul Offit, chief of infectious diseases at the Children's Hospital of
Philadelphia, who was a committee member until last month. At the same
time, he shared a patent for another rotavirus vaccine. Merck has
funded Offit's research for 13 years.
Merck bought and delivers copies of Offit's book, "What Every Parent
Should Know About Vaccines," to American doctors. The book has a list
price of $14.95.
"I am a co-holder of a patent for a (rotavirus) vaccine. If this
vaccine were to become a routinely recommended vaccine, I would make
money off of that," Offit said.
Republican staff on the House Government Reform Committee looked into
the CDC panel that recommended the vaccination. Their August 2001
report found that "four out of eight CDC advisory committee members
who voted to approve guidelines for the rotavirus vaccine in June 1998
had financial ties to pharmaceutical companies that were developing
different versions of the vaccine."
And now the GOOD news!!
The CDC said that in October 2002 it adopted new guidelines for
participating on that advisory committee that in the future will
preclude people with conflicts like Offit's from sitting on the
committee.
Any more questions Mark?

Haha, John, nice work on your website. I like the part where you
compare MMR-usage in Japan, which has not been used since 1993. So far
so good. But you failed to note two things:
· To date, MR + M stabs are used in Japan, so - the immunizations
still take place.
· Since 1994, autism-rates in Japan did increase like elsewhere in the
world, although MMR was out of equation. Why don't you mention that?
Doesn't fit your thinking, does it?

And I see your point now. It is pretty easy to see the fault in
immunizations, very easy. I mean, Gulf War Veterans suffer from the
war not because they saw comrades die, had to kill enemies, suffered
pain, were being shot at, had to fight in the desert and were taken
away from their families, no, it's all because of the anthrax vaccine.
Yeah, sure. You must have a very easy life, John.

Perhaps, you meant that getting funding is not getting paid.
This is true.
However, the funding often pays part of the salary of the investigators.
And even if it doesn't there is a conflict of interest. However, this

"Yesterday [Sept 18, 2007], after 22 years, Oprah finally talked about
vaccine injured children when she interviewed Hollywood Moms, Jenny McCarthy
and Holly Peete. Jenny has written a book on her experience of watching her
two and a half year old son regress into autism after an MMR shot. "
So the info is finally getting out to the parents about the dangers of

Perhaps, you meant that getting funding is not getting paid.
This is true.
However, the funding often pays part of the salary of the investigators.
And even if it doesn't there is a conflict of interest. However, this
doesn't mean Offit is wrong. But, it is reasonable to question his
objectivity because of the conflict of interest.

No, I did not call you a name.
What is a Maroon???
A color, kind of like a shade a red.

I don't know who Dr Off his Rocker is. You wouldn't be doing name
calling, now would you?
And a conflict of interest does not mean that what Dr. Offit says is
void, but, rather, his conflict of interest should be taken into account.
Please don't put words into my mouth, especially words that are
name-calling.
The kids on my maroon soccer team would call them "mean" words.

Of course, funding research is not being paid. Funding research means
paying a lab, university or other people or organizations to do
particular research. They don't pay you to give them money.

Thank You Jeff... You always get on me when I resort to name calling,

pregnant women and Infants.

Let me tell you something Jeff- When you have a two year old child
in PICU and you walk into the room and see a Priest at the foot of
your childs bed, Then you can tell me who I can and can not call
names.

If my son could talk, I assume he would call Dr Off His Rocker some
pretty harsh names!
